Here are answers to the questions we hear most – so you feel completely prepared before your visit.
What should I wear?
Come as you are! You'll see everything from jeans and t-shirts to business casual. We care more about your heart than your outfit.
Where do I park?
We have plenty of free parking in our main lot right in front of the building. Look for our welcome team—they'll point you in the right direction!
What about my kids?
We've got you covered! Living Word Kids offers age-appropriate teaching and activities during the service. Check them in at the Kids Ministry desk when you arrive.
What do I need to bring?
Just yourself! We'll provide everything else—bulletins, Bibles, and a warm welcome.
How long is the service?
About 90 minutes—worship, teaching, and time to connect.
Will I have to stand out or introduce myself?
Nope! We love meeting new people, but we'll never put you on the spot. You can engage as much or as little as you'd like.
What happens after the service?
Hang around for coffee and conversation! It's a great time to meet people and ask any questions you have. Our team is here to help you with anything you need.

Living Word Kids

Sunday mornings come alive for kids here. Age-appropriate teaching, engaging activities, and volunteers who see the incredible potential in every child.

Safety Information
Every volunteer undergoes a background check and is trained in our child protection policies. We use a secure check-in system so you know your child is safe and accounted for at all times.

Meet Pastor Rafie
Rafie Sturgis is a multifaceted leader with over 25 years of ministry experience, devoted to serving others and strengthening the body of Christ as a pastor, leadership mentor, mental health counselor, and church planter.
Throughout the Greater Cleveland area, Rafie has been instrumental in launching and supporting a variety of faith-based initiatives that bring hope and practical help to communities. His heart for service extends into the nonprofit sector, where he has served as both a Program Developer and Executive Director, guiding organizations toward meaningful, community-centered impact.
A passionate advocate for hope, purpose, identity, and spiritual wholeness in Christ, Rafie brings a practical, holistic, and compassionate approach to ministry.
He is an ordained minister in the Church of the Nazarene, a Licensed Professional Counselor, and holds a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies and Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary.
Rafie is married to his wife, Sonia, and together they have two sons, Isaiah and Jeremiah, along with their two dogs, Sparkie and Rockie. In his free time, he enjoys reading, exploring the outdoors, and hitting the trails for hiking or mountain biking.
